Haverty’s Newgate Christmas Bag

Haverty’s Newgate Christmas Bag is a non- profit group partnered with Newgate Mission, Haverty’s Furniture, Women’s Center of East Texas and Heartisan’s of Longview to provide children Christmas gifts this season.  Families meet the federal poverty line or have experienced life changing emergency situations this past year.  We registered 600 children, who are not associated with any other gift giving program, with 339 still available.  Our deadline for gifts is Monday, December 15 at Haverty’s Furniture.  Each child has 3 wishes and gifts can be returned unwrapped.  More detailed information is provided at Christmasbag.org.  We are fortunate to have served Longview for over 35 years and we hope to continue well into the future as long as their are children who need help having Christmas under the tree.
