Girls in Aviation Day – LeTourneau University

This STEM-focused come & go event shares aviation with girls ages 8-17, along with families/scout leaders! Boys are welcome to attend too!

Planned events include:

• Career panel with multiple female aviation professionals (career panel session suggested for ages 12+ and is planned for 10:30-11:15)
• Hands-on lab project working with sheet metal
• Phonetic alphabet art projects
• Opportunities to fly a flight simulator and learn airplane controls (please note that simulator flight slots are limited and will be available upon check in at the welcome center on the day of the event on a first-come, first-served basis)

• Airplane, helicopter, and engine scavenger hunt
• Tours of the Abbott Aviation Center facility and opportunities to learn about Dual Credit courses & scholarships
• Meet a female pilot and learn about flying
• Plus more!
