Tis the Season! a Geekmas Celebration

On Saturday, December 2, 2023, 10:00am-5:00pm, Kilgore Geekend will be hosting their annual Tis the Season event in Downtown Kilgore. Located on S. Kilgore St., there will be holiday- and winter-themed activities and musical and dance performances, as well as vendors. Performances include Geekend fan favorites Lauren Raks Bellydance, singer Rosaleen McGinnis, and saxophonist Chris Ferguson, as well as new-to-Geekend performers such as ocarina player Wyatt Elardo. DJ Randy will also be present, playing family-friendly music during the day.
Activities include Christmas Karaoke, an inflatable Nerf maze from E.Ville Labs, Blood Drive with Carter Blood Care, photo booth with GenZ Photography & Art, Christmas Cookies with Chewy, and more TBA. Santa will be on-hand for photos and Storytime, and the Grinch will be there with Martha May Whovier. There will also be a Christmas Movie Marathon in the Texan Theater during the event beginning at 11:00am. Brought to you by the Reel East Texas Film Festival and sponsored by Charlie’s Snoballs and Seasonal Tanning, classic films and cartoons will be shown during the day, with the final film being How the Grinch Stole Christmas! starring Jim Carrey at 5:00pm.
