The Wall that Heals: Vietnam Veteran Memorial

An event every day that begins at 12:00 am, repeating until November 7, 2021

  • The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial along with a mobile education center, is in Sulphur Springs November 4-7
  • The exhibit is on display at 1210 Houston Street and is open 24 hours a day and free to the public
  • The Wall That Heals honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed forces in the Vietnam War and it bears the names of the 58,276 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam
  • Local sponsors supporting the event include Hopkins County Veterans Memorial, Sulphur Springs ISD, and City of Sulphur Springs
  • Trained staff from the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund are on site to provide free educational tours
  • Schools and other groups are welcome and tours can be customized based on ages so visitors can learn about the history of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, hear stories of those who served in Vietnam, and learn about the impact of the that war on America
  • Sulphur Springs is the only location in Texas to see The Wall That Heals this year
