Summer Grove Christmas Tree Lighting Festival

Each year Summer Grove Baptist Church in Shreveport kicks off the Christmas season with a community festival.  The festival begins with performances from Walnut Hill Middle School Choir and the Benton High School Band.  After the performances, we light our giant 35ft Christmas Tree in the middle of the church hall.  We have pictures with Santa, balloon twisting, bounce houses, carnival rides and an awesome petting zoo for the family all for free.  We also have a Christmas Crafters market where fetival goers can purchase a special Christmas gift and local food trucks will be onsite with food available for purchase.  Everything kicks off at 4:30pm in the Modern Venue of Summer Grove Baptist Church, located at 8924 Jewella Ave.  Shreveport, LA 71118
