Adeline’s Army (8 year old girl) & Newk’s Eatery Fund Raiser Longview, Nacogdoches & Lufkin THURSDAY, OCT 3rd from 4pm to Closing

Adeline is 8 years old and is battling cancer. But wait, there’s so much more. Recently she was able to graduate from ICU after 38 days. She has also survived the following diagnoses: Sepsis caused by Rothia bacteria, a stroke, meningitis, triple fungal infection, heart failure, brain absessed and more. According to her mommy, God has faithfully shown up daily despite all of this craziness. Each day she posts and is able to see God & feel His presence. It’s so amazing. A great testimony to all of us as we witness their faith. God is with Adeline! He has never left her. There is a long road ahead and much to overcome but God has shown up in so many BIG ways! I want to share an event with KVNE in order to raise funds for this local east Texas family. Newk’s Eatery of Longview, Nacogdoches & Lufkin are setting aside a day to raise funds for this family. Thursday, October 3rd from 4pm-closing, all 3 Newk’s will donate 20% of their proceeds for this family. Adeline’s mommy & daddy both work for Newk’s so they are really supportive of this event. Please go to your local Newk’s in these 3 cities and bring a whole bunch of family and friends for dinner that night. To go orders will count too! We would love to see lots of people in the restaurants and pray for Adeline before your meal as well. Corporate prayer is powerful. Let’s gather and pray and eat and bless this family beyond their expectations. I have a flyer I have created that I could send to you all as well. I don’t know if you could put that on your website or not, but if you saw this sweet little 8 year olds pic, it really sets the tone to pray and give. They also have a younger child, a little boy, who is struggling too of course. Lots of attention goes to sister because it has to. They have supportive family which is a blessing too. Mom’s post on 8/29 As a mom, you hold on to faith, because God has literally answered every single prayer you’ve asked and He’s used the nurses & doctors to play a huge part in her healing. I’m sure there are people out there who question why God would do this to Adeline. Why was she given all these things if God is so loving? Well, here’s the answer. My God did not give her cancer. My God did not cause the sepsis or infections or stroke or heart failure. My God did not cause the seizures or the fungal infection. Adeline got sick because we live in a world full of ‘evil’. We live in a world full of toxins and genetic mutations and radiation. We live in a world where evil doesn’t just refer to acts of people. It refers to sickness, pollution, accidents, and all the ‘bad things’ that happen. That is why Adeline got sick. My God has been listening to our prayers. My God gives me hope. My God reminds me that He is still working on her little body. That is what MY God does and who He is. Now that does not mean that I don’t believe in science and medicine? No. I absolutely believe in science & medicine, and I absolutely believe knowledge was presented to doctors from a higher power in regard to such things. Does that mean I live without fear of her dying? Absolutely not. I’m scared of that every single day, but I know where my help comes from. I know that God will do what is best for her, and I still do believe that her healing will be on this side of Earth. “God is within her, she will NOT fail. God will HELP her at break of day.” Psalm 46:5 THis is the end of her post this day. I just wanted to share so you could see how faithful she knows God is for her daughter. Her faith is so BIG, like the woman in scripture who just wanted to touch Jesus’ cloak and he called her daugther despite what the world thought of her, Such faith. I am so inspired as a friend of this sweet family. They are living out such a scary time, yet they are inspiring others during this time. Imagine how God will use this once Adeline can share how God has and will continue to write her story. She is going to be a powerful testimony to those around her. God does not waste a moment of our lives does he? I would love for you all to share this event and their story so we could get many people out to Newk’s in these 3 cities. And please add Adeline and her family to your prayers too. She has a facebook group (private) called Adeline’s Army and she has been updating all her prayer warriors almost daily. I look forward to a response either way and hope you all have a wonderful fall-like weekend. I should say they are still in the hospital in Dallas and it will be a long time before heading home. Lots more treatment, testing, PT, OT and speech therapy. And more chemo too. It all started with the cancer and so much more has reared it’s ugly head. God is Good All the time.
